Rain and snow showers return Monday evening, turning to snow as temps drop. Snow continues overnight into Tuesday, especially north and east of Portland. Coastal areas may see some mixing, while inland areas trend more snowy. A burst of snow late Tuesday morning could bring light accumulation.
Snow totals: slushy coating to 1" along the coast (mainly on grass), 1–3" inland near Route 2, and 3–6" from Jackman to The County. Warm pavement and long daylight hours will limit stickiness. Strong winds Tuesday will add to the unpleasant weather and potential impacts.
